Happy Valentine's Day!
Hey there! Welcome or welcome back to my blog. It's Emeren once again, here to tell you...
The elves came for a visit! Oh - I forgot to mention that we adopted a new elf! Her name is Fisbee 😁 We waited until Christmas clearance because Elves on the Shelves (is that the plural version haha) are waaaaayyyy overpriced.
I made Elijah's oatmeal a little extra-special this morning! Those are chocolate chips in the shape of a heart. He was pretty happy about it!
Elijah and I went for a walk to deliver a few valentines. It was freezing 🥶At least he enjoyed stomping on the ice!
Elijah opened his valentines. Due to allergies, they weren't allowed to bring in candy (although some people did anyway.) Welcome to our home, single-use, plastic toys! He and Eliyah were super excited about these little flashlight/projector things.
Not really related to Valentine's Day, but Elijah and Eliyah had fun writing together. I am so impressed with Eliyah. I had no idea she could trace so well!
Happy Valentine's Day!
Maybe the loved one you are thinking of today is a crush or boyfriend. Perhaps it's just your family and friends. (That would be me - sorry, I'm single for now 😉) Maybe someone gave you flowers or chocolate, or perhaps you're the one giving the gifts. Maybe Valentine's Day totally snuck up on you and you didn't prepare anything (*sigh* me again.) No matter what you've done to celebrate Valentine's Day, today is a great day to show your love to the special people in your life.
Here's a quick reminder about love:
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.
- 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
What I did today
I didn't do much 🙂 As a homeschooler, I didn't go to a high school dance or whatever it is that schools do nowadays. To be honest, I kinda miss passing out valentines to everyone in elementary school. (What grade does that even stop in? Idk haha, let me know in the comments) At least I wore a pink shirt and pink sweater!

Eliyah did a cute coloring page with a cat and hearts on it! Normally, I'd put together a fun craft or activity for us to do together, but as I said, Valentine's Day totally snuck up on me and I totally forgot to prepare something. Coloring pages to the rescue!

Well, that pretty much wraps up my Valentine's Day. What did you do on Valentine's Day? Let me know in the comments!
See you around!
